This uncrowded and undiscovered resort area is on the island
of Vanua Levu, known as Fiji's north. There are several small
resorts offering an opportunity to get off the beaten track
and experience the islander's laid back lifestyle, hospitality
and tranquility. The island was once a volcano and has few
sandy beaches, but offers numerous dive spots, two of which
are world renowned - Rainbow Reef and the great Sea Reef.
Several of the resorts offer divers excellent support facilities,
as well as deep sea game fishing, yacht charters, Fijian cultural
excursions to traditional villages and trekking options.
