Beqa Lagoon is reknowned for some of Fiji's best diving and snorkeling locations. Everything from soft coral to shipwrecks are found within the protective lagoon reef system. For the more adventurous there is the Big Fish Encounter only 45-minutes from the resort by fast boat.
With so many options to keep you busy and entertained Royal Davui invites you to do as much or as little as you please.

Complimentary Activities:

Catamaran Sailing : Learn to sail a 16' Hobie Cat and explore the island and lagoon. Our Marine Staff will be happy to take you on a sail out to the main reef of Beqa Lagoon allowing you to see the island from a totally different perspective.

Seak Kayaks: Explore the surrounding reef system from your kayak or better yet, take out the two man kayak. Many guests take snorkeling gear with them and kayak to the tip of the reef and drift back to the dock whilst towing their kayaks as they snorkel.

Island Walks: Whilst a walk around Royal Davui will not be taxing, it is a great little trip allowing you to explore the rock pools at low tide as well as the ancient rock fishtrap left behind on the reef by the ancient people that once inhabited the island.

Bocce & Croquet: Fill in a lazy afternoon with a friendly game of beach Bocce, a twist on the French classic or with a game of Lawn Croquet on our less than regualtion pitch - afterall, vacations are meant to be fun.

Snorkeling: Did you know that 70% of the world is under water? That’s a pretty good reason to get in a see what is under there. Royal Davui Island offers some of the most breathtaking coral and marine life just meters off the beach.

Island Beach Picnic: For those that do not want to travel too far for a beach picnic why not opt to have lunch delivered to any of the 3 sandy beaches on Royal Davui?

Cultural Village Visits: Guests are invited to visit the village of Naceva on Beqa Island – a short 15-minute boat ride from Royal Davui. Here guests will participate in a Kava ceremony as a welcome to the village. They are then invited to explore the village, village school and gardens allowing for an insight into the way Fijian’s live in a village environment.

Kava Ceremony: Kava is one of the most important items in Fijian Culture, being used at just about every special gathering as well as in everyday life. Made from the dried, pounded root of the pepper tree, the powder is mixed with water to create a sacred drink with slight numbing properties.Once a week a traditional Kava Ceremony is preformed on the island.

Local String Band: Three times a week the local string band visits Davui to entertain in the evenings with traditional as well as some more modern Fijian songs (with "Na Me" aka "the goat song" being an island favorite).

Off-Island:
Golf: The Pearl Championship Fiji Golf Course & Country Club is set amongst tropical rainforests and winding canals, with 66 bunkers and multiple water hazards on 12 of the 18 holes. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior making this one of the most adventurous golf courses in Fiji. Day trips can be arranged from Royal Davui to Pacific Harbour

White Line Rafting: In the remote highlands of Viti Levu lies one of the most unique river trips on earth. Slicing a deep chasm through the island's tropical interior, the Upper Navua River is our hidden pathway to a pristine tropical wilderness. Shrouded in lush rain forest, fed by countless waterfalls and protected by challenging rapids, the Upper Navua River is Fiji rafting at its best. Day Trips can be arranged from Royal Davui.

Shopping Day Trip (Suva): Guests are picked up from Pacific Harbour and taken to Suva via a 45 minute drive. A Royal Davui team member is available to guide you through the handicraft market and help you get that bargain. After you are free to explore Suva. There is so much to do in the city with shopping (take your passport to get Duty Free prices at many shops) or visit the Fiji Museum.

Zip Line Canopy Tour: Feel the rush as you soar high through the rain forest on the most thrilling and only canopy zip lines in the South Pacific!! A wild and fun adventure you will never forget!! This canopy is fully inside the jungle, located just minutes from Pacific Harbour in the beautiful and mystical mountains, maximizing your fun time on the zip lines.

Jet Ski Safari: Explore Beqa Lagoon aboard a jet ski with this safari tour. Royal Davui can arrange to have the tour come to the island and pick up guests before they race out around the lagoon and explore the many reef systems.

Arts Village Shopping: Arts Village is the retail heart of the Coral Coast, Fiji. With 50 plus shops it’s one of fiji’s finest shopping destinations. There’s a great range of funky clothing and accessory stores and genuine fijian handicrafts (many of these are made on site). We have a quality supermarket, a bank, a beauty salon, a day care centre, quality dvd’s, tour operators and over 14 food outlets including cafés, a juice bar, an ice cream parlour, salad bar and so much more. Once you get here you won’t want to leave!

Champagne Beach Picnics: A beach picnic becomes a gourmet experience at Royal Davui with chilled champagne and a picnic hamper fit for royalty. Guests have the option of taking a picnic in their private Vale whilst they enjoy their private plunge pool, or else guests make journey off the island. A 10-minute boat ride from the island are two very special picnic locations.
1) Lawaki Beach on the island of Beqa offers guests a long stretch of golden sand.
2) Sand Quay – a natural sand bar surrounded by warm blue waters and beautiful coral gardens.

Skurfing: Skurfing is a popular water sport in which the participant is towed on a surfboard behind a boat.
This does require more skill that water skiing and is just as much fun.

Spa Treatments: Relax and enjoy a tropical massage with coconut oils infused with exotic fragrances such as mango and white gingerlily.

Surfing: Frigate Passage is a powerful left-hander reef break. The wave can hold up to a solid triple over-head, and rarely does it drop below head-high. Rides of 100 meters or more are not uncommon. Offshore in any easterly quater wind, Frigate Passage breaks in any southerly quater swell, and breaks well through all tides.

Fishing: Xtasea Charters offer all-inclusive full and half day big game and reef fishing charters on both MV Wai Tadra (40ft) and MV Xtasea (33ft). A typical day starts at around 07:00 and runs for approximately 8.5 hours. We spend a good part of the day chasing marlin, yellowfin, mahi mahi and anything out in the blue. When the tides turn we switch to lighter gear and get up against the drop-offs to target sailfish and wahoo.

Beqa Island Hikes: Located 10 minutes by boat from Royal Davui is the island of Beqa (after which the lagoon is named). There are 11 Villages on the island all of which own the island in part. Guests are invited to visit these villages and to also explore the dense tropical rainforest on it. Guests are guided along forest paths either toward a small waterfall and pool or up the mountain to the summit to find a stunning view of the surrounding lagoon, mainland and of course of Royal Davui Island.
