 Matangi Private Island Resort has many wonderful resources which combine to create the perfect South Pacific destination for couples seeking an exclusive Fiji private island hideaway. Matangi Private Island Resort is undoubtedly one of the finest romantic beach resorts in Fiji, specialising in intimate honeymoons, weddings, anniversaries, and offering fine dining, spa services and premier scuba diving.
 Matangi Island Resort does not offer televisions, telephones or air-conditioning
to retain an uncluttered atmosphere free of modern distractions. We
have a total of 11 bures, 9 deluxe, 1 standard and 1 treehouse. All
bures feature spacious sleeping and living areas, king size beds,
day bed, ceiling fans, mini bar, ensuite bathroom facilities and private
veranda. .
Oceanview Bures: Traditional Fijian in design with bamboo walls and coconut palm thatched roofs, our three Oceanview Bures offer simplistic island flavour with all modern luxuries.
Beachfront Bure: Hand-crafted by local Fijian craftsmen using wood, bamboo, lava rock and coconut palm thatch, our four Beachfront Bures have been carefully designed to achieve a harmonious balance between nature and contemporary elegance.
2-Bedroom Bures: Sitting on its own private point only steps from the ocean, our two-bedroom Bure is the largest of our accommodation. Built in the same style as our spacious Beachfront Bures, it is ideal
for a family, couples travelling together and groups.
Treehouse Bure .. The most luxurious of our accommodation
styles are our three unique Tree House Bures. Surrounded by lush tropical foliage, offering ultimate privacy and yet only steps from the beach, our three split-level Tree Houses are unique to Matangi Island. Perfect for honeymooners and couples looking
for a romantic escape. The Tree House Bures feature separate living
and sleeping areas and a large timber
decking with gorgeous views across the Tasman Straits.
Matangi Island Resort offers a wonderful variety of activities including
snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, water-skiing,
light tackle sport fishing, hiking, private beach excursions, a half
day trip to the Bouma Waterfalls on the island of Taveuni, a village
tour on the island of Qamea and day trips to Taveuni Island. All activities
(except for scuba diving, water skiing, light tackle sport fishing
and day excursions) are free of charge with all the required gear
provided.
